Certificates of Authenticity

Every work on Artemble comes with one. Here is what that means.

What It Certifies

An Artemble Certificate of Authenticity confirms that the work is an original creation, personally executed by the named artist, and has been reviewed and authenticated by Artemble's curatorial team. It includes the title, medium, dimensions, year, and a unique certificate number.

Provenance

A certificate records who made the work, when, and that we confirmed it is the artist's own. It does not put a price on the painting. What it gives you is a record that travels with the work from one owner to the next.

Why It Matters

For the collector, it provides confidence and documentation. For the artist, it connects their name to their work permanently. For any future sale or insurance, it provides essential provenance. Artemble's certificates are co-signed by the artist and by Artemble's curator.

Checking a Certificate

Every certificate carries a unique number, and its own page on artemble.com shows the details we hold for the work. If you would like us to confirm a certificate, write to support@artemble.com with its number and we will check it against our records.
