Amara Diallo

Amara Diallo is a Senegalese-French painter working between Dakar and Paris. His portraits are built slowly, layer by layer, ochres, deep blues, and warm blacks that carry the particular quality of West African afternoon light. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts de Paris before returning to Dakar, where the colours of his childhood reprogrammed his entire practice.
